5 Best Cat Cafes for Pet Adoption in Florida

Escaping the Florida heat often drives people indoors. Across the state, community coffee shops partner directly with rescue groups to move homeless cats into permanent homes. If your current rental prohibits pets or you want to adopt, these five spots let you support animal welfare while enjoying quality drinks.

1. The Kitty Beautiful in Downtown Orlando

Central Florida visitors can book a session at the downtown adoption lounge at The Kitty Beautiful. Partnering with the rescue group CATS CAN, this venue has helped place over 1,140 cats into permanent homes since 2019. The space features a fully vegetarian menu with cat-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches alongside local craft beer and specialty coffees. You can join special events like cat yoga or socialize with over 20 resident felines. Hourly admission ranges from $10 to $20, with proceeds supporting ongoing shelter care. Book your visit online before you go, because weekend slots fill up fast.

2. Black Cat Coffee in Titusville

On the Space Coast, you will find a distinct community approach through the roastery and shelter advocate Black Cat Coffee. Instead of operating an open animal room, this veteran-owned business promotes adoptable shelter pets through a physical photo binder. Drink prices stay budget-friendly between $1 and $10. You can order fresh house-roasted espresso and pastries from local bakeries while browsing local rescue profiles. The venue welcomes walk-in customers and offers easy viewing access for nearby rocket launches.

3. Cats and Caffeine in Tampa

Tampa features an energetic rescue environment at the pink rescue lounge at Cats and Caffeine. Working alongside Purrs and Whiskers Inc., this location houses more than 30 adoptable cats in a spotless setting. Hourly entry costs between $20 and $30. You can order specialty drinks like tuxedo lattes and strawberry matcha while relaxing in the cat room. High demand from local university students and families means you should reserve your time slot online ahead of arrival.

4. PURe JOY CAT CAFE in Daytona Beach

In Daytona Beach, you can visit the dual room rescue at PURe JOY CAT CAFE. The facility divides its cats into two separate areas, giving older cats a quiet lounge with climbing walls and providing kittens their own high-activity playroom. Your entry fee includes a beverage and a gourmet cookie, with gluten-free snacks available. You can also shop for pet-themed goods in the retail section. Reserve your entry online to guarantee room access during peak beach tourist seasons.

5. The Kitty Cup in Port St. Lucie

If you experience animal allergies, visit the viewing window cafe at The Kitty Cup. This women-owned venue includes a 10-foot observation window separating the beverage counter from the cat area. You can drink craft beer, wine, or espresso from the cafe floor or pay the $15 hourly fee to enter the adoption lounge directly. Working with regional no-kill shelters, the business has helped rehome hundreds of rescue felines. Reserve ahead if you plan to enter the animal room.
